Salary Range: $19.00 Hourly
Schedule: Monday-Friday; shift begins at 5:00 AM

Position Responsibilities
Basic Function: A day shift warehouse worker typically receives and unloads in-bound shipments of beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages. He/she stocks pick locations according to inventory needs and quality standards, picks outbound orders, assists with inventory counts and maintains a clean and safe environment. The shift is Monday through Friday, starting at the assigned time and may require overtime.
Position Duties
Receive inbound shipments:
- Obtain bill of lading or advanced shipping notice to confirm accuracy of load.
- Break down pallets as needed to count and confirm.
- Use VIP route accounting system tablet to receive product and record product code dates.
- Note on paperwork date, time of receipt, seal number, temperature of load and condition of product.
- Report any problems to day warehouse manager.
- Use tablet to “move” products from “receiving” to assigned bin location.
- Use powered equipment to physically move product to warehouse location. Location may be a “pick” location or a “storage” location.
Replenish product bins:
- Areas to replenish may be bulk storage, flow racks, static or key locations.
- Ensure all products are rotated correctly by code date: first in, first out.
- Down stack pallets to prevent excessive breakage.
Keep assigned area clean, neat and organized daily:
- Discard all loose trash, stretch wrap and broken pallet pieces.
- Down stack pallets to even layers to prevent damage.
- Clean up all spills and breakage immediately.
- Stack empty pallets and return to storage location.
- Sweep floors daily and scrub using floor scrubber as needed.
- Return all equipment to storage locations.
- Participate in semi-annual master cleaning.
Assist with driver check-in:
- Use VIP tablet to record products that are returned from delivery trucks.
- Evaluate and separate product to correct designated location: breakage, resaleable product, close-dated product, dunnage items.
Pick “hot shots” as assigned:
- Accurately pick order according to “pick ticket”.
- Verify as to correct product and count.
- Set order with pick ticket attached at the front dock area or as otherwise directed.
- If retail customer arrives for pick up, confirm that they have a completely signed invoice that is marked “paid” prior to loading product.
Pick inter-company transfers:
- Accurately pick order according to “pick ticket”.
- Verify that product type and count is correct and attach the “pick ticket” to the order.
- Stretch wrap pallets to assure that product will travel without damages.
- Use electronic equipment to move product to the front dock area or as directed.
- Load pallets onto transfer trailers in a safe manner.
Manage dunnage as directed.
Participate in inventory management:
- Manage bin assignments on a daily basis.
- Maintain quality by assuring that code dates are properly rotated.
- Conduct inventory counts on weekly and monthly basis as assigned.
Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned.
Function in a fast-paced environment, as a member of a team and independently.
Adhere to strict safe working practices and company policies.
Minimum Position Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that consistently requires a sense of urgency.
- Ability to repetitively lift, including overhead, 15-40 or more with frequent bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling and sitting.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
- Have basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
- Previous experience with computerized warehousing preferred.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
