Position Purpose/Summary
Blue Ridge Beverage Company, Inc., located in Central and Southwest VA, is a large beverage distribution company seeking a full-time Red Bull Sales Manager. The individual in this position will be responsible for developing and maintaining the beer and non-alcohol business across the division. The individual will Create plans and execute projects and initiatives that support the broader short and long-term marketing strategy, and be accountable for beer and non-alcohol performance, including the achievement of sales, brand development, service, and trade quality objectives.

Position Duties
- Manage the activity-based compensation (“ABC”) program for beer and non-alcohol, including specific performance, executional and achievement-oriented goals, objectives, and quotas as appropriate.
- Responsible for performance across all sales positions in the beer and non-alcohol organization; prioritizing critical performance objectives; overseeing the tracking of specific goals across the applicable channels, brands, managers, and sales routes; and ensuring all sales employees and managers are held accountable for assigned results.
- Build, lead, and develop a sales team that is exceptionally customer service-oriented, achieves sales goals, delivers business value, and is well-respected.
- Prepare for and attend supplier meetings.
- Forecast sales and product projections based on suppliers’ targets, quota expectations and supplier fiscal year.
- Coordinate with suppliers to aid in special promotions or to promote supplier products in the general market.
- Attend monthly planning meetings to create, review, and discuss programs designed to assist attainment of sale goals as well as company profit goals.
- Implement and monitor monthly sales force target and quota programs to achieve the expected and forecasted supplier targets and quotas utilizing company reporting software.
- Review operational records and reports to project sales and monitor product forecasting and projections and provide reporting to suppliers on a weekly basis.
- Run and review monthly program result reports and utilize them to prepare credits/payout forms for all qualified customers.
- Establish successful working relationships with key on and off premise accounts.
- Continual and effective communication with ownership and senior management regarding market conditions, planning strategies, product forecasting by supplier and product, customer, and employee relation concerns.
- Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.

Minimum Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7 years of relevant sales or marketing experience. Experience in the three-tier system of beer, wine, or spirits preferred.
- Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated experience driving the sales process from plan to close and achieve results.
- Ability to articulate distinct brand and product attributes and competitive position.
- Excellent listening, negotiating and presentation skills with retailers and community partners.
- Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Demonstrated success in setting priorities; exceptional analytic, organization, and problem-solving skills; strong ability to multi-task across diverse projects, issues, and scenarios, with the ability to pivot quickly.
- Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts.
- Ability to work in a team-based, collaborative environment with employees at all levels.

- Availability to travel, up to 25%.
